MDS-UPDRS Training Certificate Program: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Why can't I view the training video?
- I passed all four cases but I can't print out my certificate.
- I was in the middle of taking the exam and my computer locked up. Do I have to start over from the beginning?
- I tried logging in with my username and password but could not access the exam.
- I can watch the video but I can't hear any sound.
- A pharmaceutical company has paid for me to take the exam in conjunction with a clinical trial, but I am not able to access the exam.

Answers
1. Why can't I view the training video?
Your browser may be outdated, or it may be using an extension or add-on that is blocking the video. Please review the System Requirements page for more information.
2. I passed all four cases but I can't print out my certificate.
To open the certificate file, Adobe Reader (or equivalent PDF viewer application) must be installed on your computer. Please review the System Requirements page for more information. To print the certificate, please ensure your printer is powered on and its cable is properly connected to your computer. If printing to a network printer, consult your network administrator confirm that the printer is set up properly.
3. I was in the middle of taking the exam and my computer locked up. Do I have to start over from the beginning?
No. Close your browser, and if possible, restart your computer to prevent additional lockups. When you return to the exam, you should be able to continue from where you left off. All exam data you have previously saved should be preserved.
4. I tried logging in with my username and password but could not access the exam.

5. I can watch the video but I can't hear any sound.
If using external speakers, ensure that they are powered on, connected to the speaker output jack on your computer, and set at a reasonable volume. In your operating system sound properties, confirm that sound is not muted and the volume level is set properly.
6. A pharmaceutical company has paid for me to take the exam in conjunction with a clinical trial, but I am not able to access the exam.
Company-sponsored raters will receive login instructions for accessing the exam via email, from the company representative, once payment has been received and processed by MDS.
7. Can I take the exam and return at a later time?
Yes, you may save your answers at any time during the exam, and return at a later time to continue the exam.
8. I need to print a new copy of my certificate. Is this possible?
Yes, you may reprint your certificate at any time.
9. May I obtain a copy of the training video? If so, what is the fee and steps I need to take?

10. How long is my certificate valid?
MDS has not put a time limit on the certificate.
